Picking the right pair comes down to how you'll actually use them, and how much support your feet need day to day.

For running and jogging, look for a cushioned midsole and breathable mesh upper. Good shock absorption matters most here, since running puts repeated impact through your feet and knees over distance.

For gym and general training, a slightly firmer sole with good lateral support works better - you're moving side to side more than running in a straight line, so stability matters as much as cushioning.
